Tread plate is straightforward material that becomes a problem when it arrives as a raw sheet on site. Supplied cut to the opening, folded at the edges and pre-drilled to the fixing pattern, it goes down in an afternoon instead of being cut and ground in place.
We hold mild steel, stainless and aluminium tread plate in a range of thicknesses and work from either your dimensions or a site measure. Edges are returned or bound so the plate does not lift at a corner and become a trip hazard.
Sheared and laser-cut to the opening dimensions, including cut-outs for penetrations and services.
Edge returns, downstands and welded stiffeners so larger panels stay flat under foot traffic.
Countersunk and clearance holes set out to the frame so plates sit flush with the surrounding floor.
Mild steel, SS304, SS316 and aluminium chequer in thicknesses to suit the span and the loading.
Hot-dip galvanising, anti-slip paint systems and abrasive grit coatings for wet or oily areas.
Matching angle frames, bearers and lifting handles supplied with the plate as one package.
Send us your drawings, samples or a description of the scope. Our engineering team will come back with a detailed quotation and a realistic programme.
